The Los Angeles Clippers are going quietly into the night, as the Houston Rockets are choking them out in almost a totally willing way.

When the Los Angeles Clippers lost Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals, no one could believe what they had just witnessed. That has carried over into Game 7, as the Clippers look awful, and Chris Paul hasn’t wanted to have his identity stolen by Cliff Paul worse than he does right now.

Los Angeles is flat, disgusting and playing basketball that must piss the Spurs off because it’s basketball that kicked them out of the playoffs.

DeAndre Jordan didn’t even attempt to play defense on one scoring possession by the Rockets.

The importance of getting your hands up should never be lost on anyone who plays basketball, let alone a guy who needs to stop the other team from scoring or his season will be over. That’s what the Clippers just don’t seem to get in Game 7, as they look dejected and checked out — and wholly uninterested in winning.

Maybe it’s the collapse from Game 6 that has them down, or it’s the boost that losing the game gave the Rockets that is holding them back. But something is happening to the Clippers and it’s more than just bad basketball — it’s just bad everything.
