Tampa Bay is in first place, surprisingly, in the AL East and this Rays fan who caught a foul ball is celebrating like an absolute fool.

The Tampa Bay Rays have been a quirky bunch of guys for the past few years under manager Joe Maddon. However, now that he is with the Chicago Cubs, the Rays’ fan base is starting to take over that quirky role.

Over the years, Rays fans have been a bit wild. Sometimes they don’t show up for games to support their first-place team and other times they run of the field and cause havoc before getting tackled by security — this has happened on numerous occasions in the past few years.

This year, the Rays surprisingly sit atop the AL East and are lucky enough to be in the worst division in baseball, at the moment, with the worst record of any first place team in baseball.

Fans are still excited, however. That is, the ones who still show up to games and show support for the team that has come out of nowhere to gain the AL East lead by a half-game as of Tuesday afternoon.

This fan, a proud American decked out in USA gear, snagged a foul ball during the Rays’ Memorial Day game against the Seattle Mariners and danced like a fool. I mean, this guy made Joe Maddon look sane.

Robinson Cano’s foul ball seemed harmless, but it erupted something in this man that no one saw coming. Whether it was the excitement of snagging his first ever foul ball or the Memorial Day pregame drinks, this Rays fan made a name for himself on live TV.

Luckily for him, this foolish dancing is making its rounds on the internet.
