Matthew Dellavedova is tough to guard sometimes and apparently spelling his name is equally as difficult, even for the best of them

Being that I cover sports for a living, and given what’s happened over the course of the past few weeks, I can spell “Matthew Dellavedova” like it’s my own name. However, an average sports fan might have a tough time spelling out the name of the Cleveland Cavaliers guard.

That said, non-sports fans would have to have all the luck in the word to nail down “Dellavedova,” you would think, right? But, does this rule apply to the young contestants of the Scripps National Spelling Bee? Surely if there were anyone on the planet that could get the spelling correct, it would be those young scholars…right?!
