The Atlanta Hawks are trying to find ways to get to the NBA Finals next season, and pursuing Tobias Harris from Orlando is on their docket.

The Orlando Magic want to get back on track after finally finding a head coach and finding a vision for the franchise. New head coach Scott Skiles is in town and he is going to try and bring the Magic back to the postseason for the first time in years.

Not everyone is on board with Skiles being in town, as Tobias Harris is skeptical about returning to play for Skiles after they clashed a bit in Milwaukee a few years ago. Aside from the personal drama that may or may not play a big role in Harris wanting to play for Orlando, there are other teams that want to pry him away and will put the pressure on the Magic to pay their young star.

According to Alex Kennedy from Basketball Insiders, the Hawks could be a destination for Tobias Harris this summer.

Things aren’t looking good for the Hawks though, as they got fleeced by the Magic on a deal for Paul Millsap. Orlando offered the forward a four-year which Atlanta was forced to match. That put a dent in the cap space that Atlanta has, but there is still hope that the Hawks can pry Harris away from Orlando.

Aside from the Hawks, the Knicks are going to be big suitors for Harris. No matter who offers up a contract to the young star, Orlando has the ability to match and keep him in town.

It’s going to be interesting where Harris lands and what happens in his free agency, but it’s not going to be a subtle conclusion.
