Jeff Francoeur gave the Phillies one of the few highlights they’ve had all season, leading them to a win over the Marlins

Alright, it pretty much goes without saying that the Philadelphia Phillies are having a miserable season. Considering how far out of first place they are, that actually might be an understatement. However, that doesn’t mean they haven’t had some moments to be proud of this season, and one of them came Sunday thanks to Jeff Francoeur.

In a rare occasion for this season, the Phillies won a baseball game and they even did so in dramatic fashion. Down by one run in the bottom of the ninth inning, Francoeur delivered this nice little gem.

Again, the Phillies haven’t really had all that much to be happy about this season, but moments like this will have to do. Just halfway into the season their playoff hopes are all but dashed, so they have to take their wins when they can get them.

Also, it was against the Marlins, who aren’t exactly lighting the world on fire themselves with their play this season. But this is also proof that two bad teams can provide some action on the field every now and again.
