The NFC South was largely seen as the worst division in football, and yet there are a pair of 4-0 teams. The Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers are undefeated, making us all reevaluate not only the NFC South, but everything we know about football.

Over in the AFC South, the Indianapolis Colts have been a raging, unstoppable dumpster fire. The Colts were picked by many to earn the top seed in the AFC and roll to the Super Bowl, but instead are 2-2 and playing atrociously. Indianapolis has only beaten the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars by a combined five points. It’s certainly nothing to write home about.

The NFC East was expected to be a fight between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, but it has been anything but. Somehow, the Eagles are in last place with an offense that can’t gain a first down and a defense that reads like a MASH unit. Amazingly enough, the Washington Redskins are tied for first place.

At some point, the AFC has to see some Wild Card favorites emerge, right? The San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers all appear to be the best of the rest in the conference. However, the Miami Dolphins just fired head coach Joe Philbin. Does that light a fire under them, or does it make no difference? The Kansas City Chiefs were supposed to be good this year, but they are terrible. At 1-3, the Chiefs could be cooked.
