Week 5 of the National Football League is already here, leaving us to wonder where the first quarter of the campaign went.

The season has provided us with plenty of surprises so far, including Russell Wilson being sacked 18 times and Ben Roethlisberger going down for 4-6 weeks. It’s been a rollercoaster that has included Andy Dalton turning into Johnny Unitas and Aaron Rodgers continuing to be Aaron Rodgers. Then, there is Tom Brady turning heel this offseason, only to mock Roger Goodell with an incredible start for both he and the New England Patriots.

Without further adieu, here are the NFL quarterback rankings through the first half of the season.

Rick Mirer Division

32. Brandon Weeden

The Dallas Cowboys were 2-0 with Tony Romo and are now 2-2. You do the math.

31. Ryan Mallett

30. Sam Bradford

Bradford is so far back on the list because he has weapons around him and can’t muster any offense. He’s in a new system and the offensive line has been mediocre, but a former top-overall pick should be able to complete some throws longer than two yards.

Really Bad Randall Cunningham Division

29. Colin Kaepernick

Kaepernick needs to be benched. The problem is that his back is Blaine Gabbert. If you are San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula, are you making that switch? Didn’t think so.

Heath Shuler Division

28. Andrew Luck/Matt Hasselbeck

27. Michael Vick

26. Blake Bortles

Bortles has actually thrown for a respectable amount of yardage with 996 to go with six touchdowns. The problem? His 54.5 percent completion rate and Jacksonville’s 1-3 record. You needed to beat Matt Hasselbeck last week. Come on.

25. Josh McCown

24. Jay Cutler

Cutler returned to the lineup and led a comeback victory over the Oakland Raiders. The question now – as it always is – is can Cutler keep playing well?

Jay Fiedler Division

23. Jameis Winston

22. Ryan Tannehill

There are ample reports that Tannehill is acting the fool toward practice squad players. Right now, he’s a major reason why the team is 1-3 and Joe Philbin is unemployed. Completing 56.7 percent of your throws with five interceptions blows.

21. Ryan Fitzpatrick

20. Teddy Bridgewater

Gus Frerotte Division

19. Cam Newton

People always send me hateful emails because of my feelings toward Newton. Here’s the deal: the Carolina Panthers are 4-0 but no thanks to Newton, who has completed 55.4 percent of his passes and ranks 25th in yardage with 809.

18. Kirk Cousins

17. Matthew Stafford

Stafford’s season, and career, are tough to figure. On one hand, Stafford consistently puts up large numbers. On the other, he has never beaten a team on the road that finished the season with a winning record. On a related note, Stafford has been in the NFL since 2009.

16. Joe Flacco

15. Drew Brees
