Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has been forced to helplessly watch from the sidelines as his team has lost three games in a row after a 2-0 start. Romo is nursing a broken clavicle, which has forced the Cowboys to turn to Brandon Weeden as their starting quarterback.

Despite the Cowboys’ 2-3 record and extended time without Romo and wide receiver Dez Bryant, the quarterback remains confident in his team’s Super Bowl chances. After a 30-6 loss to the New England Patriots, Romo was caught on video telling quarterback Tom Brady that he looks forward to meeting him in the big game.

Cowboys fans would currently be called delusional for expecting their team to make it that far in the playoffs, and some would even consider them fortunate to make the playoffs considering their current circumstances. The Cowboys will have a tall ladder to climb even when Romo returns though unless they are able to keep pace with the New York Giants in the NFC East title race. They are currently one game behind the Giants, who pulled out a thrilling comeback win against the San Francisco 49ers.

However, Bryant is still targeting a Week 7 return while Romo is expected to return in Week 11, according to CBS Sports. The Cowboys have also switched to Matt Cassel as their starting quarterback, which instantly offers their offense more upside after Weeden struggled. The Cowboys will clearly be anticipating Romo’s return though after he put together an MVP-caliber season in 2014 before leading them to a 2-0 start.
