Eli Manning throws an interception on a quick slant aiming for Odell Beckham Jr. while trying to lead his Giants to victory

Oh dear, Eli.

On a crucial third quarter drive with the Giants leading 20-12 with two minutes remaining, Eli Manning threw a crucial interception to Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Alterraun Verner. Odell Beckham then wrapped up Verner, and after hanging on to the back of him, threw him down after a 16-yard gain. Beckham was noticeably angry with himself after the play as he was beat to the point of the pass by Verner.

Manning would have been hoping to put the game into two-score territory with a successful drive, and in a poor yet competitive NFC East, every game is crucial in the Giants’ quest to make the postseason. The Bucs have been poor with explosive defensive plays this season, and without an interception in the first seven weeks, they have been able to produce two this Sunday.

The match is now a possession game, and Manning’s sixth interception of the season will most certainly see it go down to the final seconds of the fourth quarter.
