The Chip Kelly experiment in Philadelphia has not gone according to his plan, here are five of the issues which could end up costing him his job

Things have not gone according to plan for Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly since he was hired in 2013. The offseason was tumultuous and full of drama, from his play for more power in the organization, to the failed attempt to trade for quarterback Marcus Mariota. That insanity has carried over into the regular season and now at 4-7, there is serious speculation about job security for the once heralded “offensive genius.”

How did it get so bad though? This obviously wasn’t something that fell apart over the course of the first 11 games of the 2015 season, but instead is an issue that has been brewing since Kelly’s rookie year of 2013. Team owner Jeffrey Lurie has ignored all the warning signs but it is becoming apparent that the smoke has turned into a raging wildfire.

Let’s take a deeper look at what exactly caused the issues for the former Oregon Ducks head coach who was thought to be on his way to revolutionizing the NFL upon his arrival.

While one particular situation cannot be identified as the sole catalyst for drama, there are five key points which can be examined. These five signs point directly to Kelly losing his job in Philadelphia.
