1. Cleveland Browns

It’s undeniable that the Cleveland Browns are a mess. They have needs across the board, from quarterback to the offensive line to the linebacking corps, and all points in between. With that said, while sitting at the top of the draft the Brownies decide to go with the ol’ Bill Parcells model of building a team through the trenches. Laremy Tunsil is the choice.

Why in the hell would a team who doesn’t even know who its quarterback be take a guardian tackle? Well why not. After whiffing on the likes of Brady Quinn, Brandon Weeden and Johnny Manziel (still pending), it’s unlikely that Cleveland looks at yet another first round quarterback selection. This is especially true when there’s no franchise quarterback out there (see: no Andrew Luck).

Tunsil was part of a banner recruiting class at Ole Miss and helped revive a dormant program. Facelifts are nothing new to him. On his watch Bo Wallace became a serviceable quarterback, and Chad Kelly actually straightened out his erratic game.

In Cleveland he can help become a snow plow for the running back duo of Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson, who’ve been rather lackluster all year. Also, he can shore up a line that has given up the most sacks in the NFL.

Yes, the Browns have Joe Thomas, but there were rumors earlier this season that he was on the table as trade bait. This feels like a spot where the Browns could conceivably dangle Thomas for a high-round pick, or flip Tunsil for a collection of picks.
