Sacramento Kings head coach George Karl was having none of it in a post game press conference following another Kings’s loss.

George Karl has been forced to endure quite a bit during his tenure as head coach of the Sacramento Kings. From a rough summer spent fending off issues with star DeMarcus Cousins and a rift with the front office to the Rajon Rondo homophobic slurs earlier this month, Karl has obviously seen his fair share over the last several months.

One would hardly blame him if he throws in the towel every once in a while.

One of those moments came on Sunday, when Karl was sitting in front of the gathered media to discuss his team’s efforts in a 98-94 loss to the Portland Trailblazers. The game featured 23 turnovers from the Kings and Sacramento watched a double-digit lead melt away before succumbing to their 18th loss of the season. After having just witnessed it first hand and been helpless to stop it, Karl wasn’t in any hurry to relive it through the media session.

“I’m done, I’m frustrated,” proclaimed Karl as he walked out of his post game session. How can you blame the man? Since taking over the Kings midway through the 2014-15 season, Sacramento has a combined record of 23-37 during his tenure, the first of a four-year deal he struck with the team.

Needless to say, this isn’t going to be a contract that the two parties see through to the end. If Karl has already given up on his team, it may be best to work out an amicable split now.
