Cam Newton grabs a Seattle 12th man flag and throws it on the ground, after the Carolina Panthers beat the Seattle Seahawks 31-24.

The Carolina Panthers were able to absolutely dominate the Seattle Seahawks, as they totaled all of their 31 points in the first half. Jonathan Stewart was able to rip off a 59-yard run on the first play from scrimmage for the Panthers, setting himself up for a one-yard touchdown run just three plays later. Stewart would finish with 106 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

The Seahawks came out firing in the second half, scoring on their first possession in the second half on a Jermaine Kearse touchdown catch. Russell Wilson would hook up with Kearse one more time before the game ended, but it was not enough to get past the top-seeded Panthers.

After the game, Cam Newton was making his rounds around the stadium to greet and high-five fans when a Seattle Seahawks fan lowered their 12th man flag toward Newton. Newton snatched it from the fan, balled it up, and threw it on the ground in a celebratory fashion.

Cam Newton did not have the best statistical day, but he did not need to because his defense was able to score points. Anytime your defense puts points on the board, you have a fantastic chance of winning. The Panthers are moving on to the NFC Championship next week, and they will stay home to take on the Arizona Cardinals in a one vs. two matchup in Charlotte.
