John Clayton does ESPN SportsCenter segment with ‘Slayer’ shirt on (Video)

John Clayton was definitely the most entertaining part of SportsCenter on Tuesday night with this segment. 

With the NFL conference championship games coming up this weekend, you’re going to see a lot of ESPN analyst John Clayton on SportsCenter, that’s to be expected. However, on Tuesday night, he took his wardrobe game to another level.

Clayton appeared on the show, but when he did so, he was donning the infamous “Slayer” shirt. You know, the one that he donned for what might be the best “This is SportsCenter” commercial of them all? Yes, that very one.

As if this wasn’t entertaining enough, just the fact alone that he had the shirt on, he went with some different analysis other than football. A few weeks ago Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook put on the Slayer shirt before a game and it sent the internet into a frenzy. So, Clayton broke it down.

Everything about this segment is just the best. From Clayton actually wearing the shirt to him breaking down the way Westbrook wore it, this is one of the all-time great moments in the history of the long-running ESPN staple.

Now if he can only wear it more often then that’ll make things so much better. Oh, and maybe a clip-on ponytail too.
