What NASCAR Sprint Cup races are also night races?

The beauty of NASCAR is that it’s not just a Sunday afternoon tradition. While many of the races take place in the day and some have to because certain tracks don’t have the lighting for night races, there are plenty of night races throughout the schedule and some of the best races of the season occur at night.

There’s also a possibility in NASCAR, that some races might start at night that were originally slated for day. This happens frequently during the summer months of the season, when rain and weather issues become a major problem for NASCAR.

There’s also races that start in the sun but end underneath the stars and the lights of the track. Most night races take place on Saturday night, instead of Sunday, and many of those races occur on short tracks. This year, the schedule remains the same with the usual suspects when it comes to night races. There are 10 night races in total that will be ran this year and possibly more depending on weather in other races.

Who can forget the thrilling battles that took place under the lights in 2015, between Kyle Busch and Joey Logano. Both drivers were chasing wins and a chance to win their first Sprint Cup Championship. There will certainly be plenty of great battles at night this year.
