According to a report, ex-Florida quarterback Will Grier has met with Ohio State, West Virginia and Miami.

When Florida Gators quarterback Will Grier was suspended for a full year in October for performance enhancing drugs, it meant the Gators lost their quarterback for the season and as things ended up, forever. Grier would decided to transfer out of the program back in December, which meant a talented quarterback was available for teams to chase, despite the fact that he’s going to miss a good length of time.

According to the Charleston Gazette-Mail’s Mike Casazza, Grier was on the campus of West Virginia University on Wednesday, via CollegeFootballTalk.

Along with West Virginia, Grier has also reportedly met with the Ohio State Buckeyes and Miami Hurricanes, according to Gainesville Sun correspondent Graham Hall.

This would certainly indicate that Grier is already lining up suitors. When he eventually plays for wherever he ends up, it could be a while from now. Based on NCAA transfer rules, it’s likely that Grier will have to sit out the 2016 season.

Add in the remaining six games that are currently left on his suspension, and it could be likely that Grier won’t be seen on a football field in college until the 2017 talent. Before he was suspended in 2015, Grier had racked up 1,204 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions.

Grier is a talented quarterback and it’s no surprise that top programs will be chasing after him. However, it could be a while before he plays for those programs.
