NBA free agency may be a few months away still, but there is always interest when it comes to Dwight Howard’s future.

There are a few players like Kevin Durant that are getting the most attention heading into the offseason, but one player that will be highly-sought after is one of the best centers in the NBA. Dwight Howard of the Houston Rockets has a player option for next season, but with the salary cap going up, and trouble with teammate James Harden, Howard is likely going to be declining his player option.

Howard is now 30-years-old, and could be attempting to land another max contract before father time catches up with him. The Rockets’ struggles this season will also be a determining factor for whether or not Howard accepts or declines his option for next season. If Howard does decline the option, he will quickly become one of the best players available in free agency.

In his career, Howard is averaging 17.9 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. Howard is best-known for his ability on the defensive end of the court, as he is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year award winner.

Here are five possible destinations for Howard if he indeed does become a free agent this offseason.
