Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell was booed during intros by fans after secretly recording teammate Nick Young.

Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell might be enemy No. 1 in the NBA right now. After Russell secretly recorded a video of teammate Nick Young admitting to cheating went viral, Russell has been getting ripped to shreds by other athletes, teammates and fans for outing one of his teammates and not respecting the rules of the locker room.

Before the Lakers took on the Miami Heat on Wednesday night, Russell came out for introductions and was booed by Lakers fans, according to Baxter Holmes.

It’s crazy that despite the fact that his teammate cheated, the vitriol that Russell is receiving from everyone. While it’s not surprising his teammates are ignoring him, this story has turned into some drama-filled escapade that isn’t going to make Russell’s career any easier going forward.

If other players are coming out and ripping him, then it’s hard to see if anyone will trust him going forward. He would apologize for recording his teammate and was sincere about it, but it appears that the damage has been done with the fans and that is not a good sign concerning his future.
