Looking at when Cavaliers vs. Raptors Game 1 in the Eastern Conference Finals will be played

The Toronto Raptors entered the 2016 NBA Playoffs with a ton of demons weighing them down. At the start of the postseason, they hadn’t ever made it through a seven-game series in the history of the franchise and first had to shed that monkey off their back. Fast forward to Sunday afternoon in the Air Canada Centre and now the Raptors are heading to their first ever Eastern Conference Finals to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

While the Cavaliers have gone 8-0 in the playoffs to advance to the East Finals, the Raptors have been the polar opposite to this point as they’ve played the maximum number of games possible through two rounds in 14. However, that doesn’t mean that Cavaliers vs. Raptors isn’t a highly intriguing series.

Of course, what would make it all the more intriguing would be if the Raptors can get Jonas Valanciunas back in the lineup after he missed most of the East semis due to an ankle sprain. That would give the Raptors at least a different look to combat LeBron James and company when they go small with Kevin Love at the five.

With all of these things on the line, fans are right to be curious when Cavaliers vs. Raptors Game 1 will be played. The turnaround is actually quite quick and the wait won’t be long as the Eastern Conference Finals begin on Tuesday, May 17 at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
