One of the many athletes who reached out to congratulate LeBron James was Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott

Sunday night, what some always thought was the impossible happened. A title was brought to Cleveland, as LeBron James and the Cavaliers disposed of the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. LeBron made the promise when he came back to Cleveland from Miami, and on Sunday night, he delivered on that promise.

Since the win, numerous people of note from around the sports world have been reaching out to LeBron to congratulate him on the one accomplishment he always wanted to achieve. One of those people was none other than someone else who knows what it’s like to win a title for the state of Ohio, former Ohio State Buckeyes running back and current Dallas Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott.

That was a nice gesture by Elliott, who had the support of James when he and the Buckeyes were tearing through the College Football Playoff two years ago en route to a national title. LeBron was there for that, and now Elliott, who is getting ready to embark on a professional sports career of his own, is there to let James know how proud he is of him.

Seeing Cleveland win a title with LeBron has certainly not been void of any special moments, that’s for sure.
