Tim Tebow’s current baseball ambitions came as a surprise to nearly everyone, but one random guy predicted it back in 2013.

With his reported desire to play pro baseball, and a workout for MLB teams coming before the end of the month, Tim Tebow is back in the headlines and leading the top trends on Twitter. He hasn’t played baseball competitively since 2005, as a junior in high school, so Tebow’s odds of reaching the highest level in the sport are incredibly long. If he’s even able to stick for long at the minor league level, it will be a surprise.

When he was released by the New York Jets in 2013, a random guy laid out a case for Tebow to put his focus on trying to become a major league baseball player.

Tebow hit .494 when he last played baseball at competitive level, and he has apparently been working toward becoming a better hitter and outfielder for nearly a year. It’s clear he has some raw athleticism, even as he turns 29 next Sunday, but harnessing that into viable baseball skills that will appeal to any major league organization is unlikely.

Based on intrigue alone, Tebow’s baseball workout should be well-attended. Where things go from there is up to how he looks in that casual environment, and he will surely be set up to succeed. The setting should be similar to a college Pro Day leading into the NFL Draft, which Tebow of course went through in 2010.

On another note, someone needs to find the guy who predicted Tebow’s baseball pursuit. Does he have any other notable future predictions to offer?
