Aaron Rodgers showed incredible athleticism as he stayed on his feet and connected with Davante Adams for the go-ahead score.

It’s been a closer game than expected for the Green Bay Packers against the Jacksonville Jaguars. But Aaron Rodgers managed to give the visiting Pack the lead heading into the halftime break, thanks to his uncanny combination of escape-ability and rocket arm.

Many quarterbacks in this situation would’ve done something silly. Instead, Rodgers avoids the sack, hold onto the ball, then somehow connects with Davante Adams in the end zone. Adams was guarded tightly, but was able to find the ball and corral it into his chest.

Rodgers is an early NFL MVP, and this remarkable play only solidified that belief. Scoring plays don’t always come easy in the NFL, but Rodgers showed yet again that his calm composure in the pocket can create some chances that no one else can, and in some cases shouldn’t even be there.

This certainly won’t be the last crazy touchdown pass Rodgers will toss in 2016. The season is young and Rodgers is just heating up. Remember his Thanksgiving Day Hail Mary TD to beat the Lions? Well, this throw is almost as impressive, despite not being thrown as high in the air as the game-winning score.

When things get tough, NFL teams lean on their quarterback and veteran leadership. Luckily for the Packers, Rodgers showed once again what a magician he can be, even with just a sliver of space.

Green Bay leads the Jaguars at halftime thanks in part to Rodgers turning lemons into lemonade once again (and Adams making a spectacular catch, of course).
