New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall hurt his knee after getting tackled against the Buffalo Bills.

The New York Jets were doing a solid job of moving the football in the first half against the Buffalo Bills. Brandon Marshall made some big grabs to get the Jets down into the Bills’ red zone after physically imposing his will on the cornerbacks.

However, it might have come at a price. After Marshall caught a big pass deep in the Bills’ territory, his cleat got stuck in the ground and he twisted his knee. Marshall hit the ground immediately and he began to clutch his knee in pain.

Looking at the replay, his body contorts after Stephon Gilmore makes the tackle. It’s possible he might have been able to continue running for an even bigger gain and possibly a score, but that’s the danger of a cleat getting caught in the turf.

He was tended to by trainers and medical personnel immediately. He was able to walk off, but he did so carefully and was taken to the back. Without Marshall on the field, Ryan Fitzpatrick loses a favorite target on the field. Hopefully it’s nothing serious and he will be able to get back on the field shortly.
