The Alabama Crimson Tide continue to lay the hammer on the Tennessee Volunteers. Here’s running back Bo Scarbrough going 85 yards on Tennessee for the score.

The Third Saturday in October was another blowout in favor of the Alabama Crimson Tide. The No. 1 team in the nation stomped the rival Tennessee Volunteers in their place on Saturday. Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough’s 85-yard touchdown run absolutely crushed the Volunteers’ spirits.

Scarbrough had been quiet in the Alabama offense before that run. He would sprint to the left on a sweep and nobody in the Tennessee secondary was going to touch. His touchdown was so impressive, he felt totally cool with taunting a Tennessee fan in the front row.

Alabama continues to own Tennessee in this cross-divisional SEC rivalry. This will be the 10th straight win for the Crimson Tide over the Volunteers. Alabama has yet to lose to Tennessee during the Nick Saban era in Tuscaloosa. The last time Alabama lost to Tennessee, Mike Shula was the Crimson Tide head coach back in 2006.

Scarbrough probably didn’t need to high five that Volunteers fan in the face, but that is essentially what Alabama did to Tennessee on Saturday. Complete and utter domination on the gridiron.

Alabama has its toughest test of the season next week when the Crimson Tide host the Texas A&M Aggies for a must-see SEC game. These are the only two undefeated programs in the SEC. The winner of that budding rivalry game will be the clear favorite to make the College Football Playoff out of the SEC.

Tennessee just came out in Week 7 against Alabama and laid an egg. The Volunteers clearly had nothing left in the tank after a double overtime loss to the Aggies in College Station the week before. This game was ugly.
