90-year-old Chicago Cubs fan Dorothy Farrell just saw her team make it to the 2016 World Series. It’s a once in a lifetime thing and she’s ready to party!

The Chicago Cubs have defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in six games in the 2016 NLCS to advance to the 2016 World Series. There the Cubs will face the American League Champion Cleveland Indians. The Indians haven’t won a World Series since 1948 and this is the Cubs’ first trip to the Fall Classic since 1945.

Longtime Cubs fan and season ticket holder 90-year-old Dorothy Farrell is ecstatic to see her Cubs make it to the 2016 World Series. The last time the Cubs made it to a Fall Classic, she was a teenager. When asked how she’ll celebrate the Cubs getting to the World Series by Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, she responded, “I’ll probably have a Jagermeister.”

Jagermeister happens to be one of the favorite adult beverages for college-aged kids. It’s a great way to cut loose and that is what Mrs. Farrell plans to do after seeing the Cubs make it to the 2016 World Series.

The last time the Cubs made it to a World Series, the United States was just getting out of World War II. Chicago faced the Detroit Tigers in that Fall Classic, losing the Detroit four games to three.

It has been 108 years since the Cubs last won a World Series. That came way back in the 1908 MLB season when Chicago beat ironically the same Tigers four games to one. That was a rematch of the 1907 World Series where the Cubs swept the Tigers, 4-0.
