Baker Mayfield continues to burn Big 12 secondaries with his arm. Here is his latest touchdown strike with his favorite target Dede Westbrook versus Kansas.

With the Baylor Bears and the West Virginia Mountaineers falling on Saturday, it is now the Oklahoma Sooners as presumably the best team in the Big 12 in 2016. Oklahoma has two losses on the year and probably won’t make the College Football Playoff, but the Sooners are sure a fun watch.

They have an elite passer in quarterback Baker Mayfield and a strong wide receiver in Dede Westbrook. Watch them connect on an 41-yard touchdown pass, making mincemeat of the Kansas Jayhawks’ secondary.

Mayfield is playing angry after his Sooners lost to the Houston Cougars and the Ohio State Buckeyes earlier in the season. He finished fourth in the 2015 Heisman Trophy race. Mayfield is doing everything in his power to get to New York for the presentation and maybe he can get the Sooners to another big bowl game in the process?

He has no respect for the lowly Kansas secondary on this dart to the end zone. Westbrook comes down with it among multiple Jayhawks defenders in the Kansas end zone. When his teammates came to celebrate with him, Westbrook shrugged with an “I don’t know how I came down with that” sort of look.

Oklahoma is still very likely to win the Big 12. The Sooners have yet to lose in conference play. Unless Baylor and West Virginia fall off a cliff after their most recent losses, Oklahoma can use wins over both schools as resume builders for this College Football Playoff hopes.

Entering November, there may not be a more dangerous team in the Power 5 than the Sooners. Oklahoma should run train in the Big 12 en route to back-to-back conference championships.
