The Clemson Tigers will get a visit the Pittsburgh Panthers as they try to stay on track for the College Football Playoff. Here’s how you can watch Saturday’s game.

After an appearance in last year’s national title game, the No. 2-ranked Clemson Tigers (9-0) have stayed on track for a second straight appearance in the College Football playoff. They are coming off a decisive 54-0 win over Syracuse last Saturday, and they’ll welcome the Pittsburgh Panthers (5-4, 2-3 in ACC play) to town Saturday afternoon. The Panthers lost 51-28 to Miami last week, and they’ll make their first ever trip to “Death Valley” on a two-game losing streak.

Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson topped 300 passing yards in four of five games before last week, and sat out the second half after suffering a bruised shoulder. Head coach Dabo Swinney said there’s no concern about Watson’s availability for Saturday. Leading rusher Wayne Gallman has three touchdowns over the last two games, but he hasn’t topped 100 yards on the ground with double-digit carries since a win over Louisville on Oct. 1.

Pittsburgh’s driving force offensively is running back James Conner, who enters Saturday’s contest with 712 rushing yards and 13 total touchdowns (11 rushing, two receiving). Conner was a non-factor in last week’s loss (12 carries for 40 yards), and he has just one 100-yard game in the last six contests, but the junior tailback has six touchdowns over the last three games.

The Panthers allowed 356 passing yards and five total touchdowns to Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya last week, and they enter this week with the 126th-ranked pass defense in the country (317.1 yards per game). So containing Watson and his array of weapons will be a challenge for Pitt’s defense, to put it kindly.

ESPN’s Football Power Index has given Clemson a 92 percent chance to win on Saturday, and the Tigers are 21-point favorites. This is the kind of game that can look ripe for an upset, particularly if Watson may be operating at less than full strength, but we’ll see it Pitt can play well enough in a very tough environment to keep the game reasonably competitive.
