The Seattle Seahawks execute a great trick play on the Philadelphia Eagles defense. Doug Baldwin would fake an end around and find Russell Wilson for six.

The Seattle Seahawks had their mid-season issues offensively. Seattle’s offense was horrendously porous and quarterback Russell Wilson was hobbled for weeks. This limited his elite ability to extend plays with his legs.

Well, it seems that Wilson’s feet are feeling fine in Week 11. Up 16-7 on the visiting Philadelphia Eagles, the Seahawks would run a play on a first and 10 from the Philadelphia 15-yard line. The play called for an end around handoff from Wilson to wideout Doug Baldwin.

The only difference was that a wide receiver pass was tied into the Darrell Bevell play design. With a man in his face, Baldwin would sling the pigskin to Wilson, now playing wide receiver, for the 15-yard touchdown reception.

Seattle has the best defense in football, but Philadelphia had one of the league’s best heading into Week 11’s matchup in the Pacificn Northwest. The Seahawks were able to extend its two-score lead to 16 points after the made Steven Hauschka PAT.

Bevell has done the wide receiver pass at least once before this touchdown from Baldwin to Wilson. Former Wisconsin Badger quarterback turned Seahawks wide receiver Tanner McEvoy threw one to running back C.J. Prosise to other week to great success.

However, it wasn’t as spectacular as Baldwin to Wilson. Baldwin to Wilson got the Seahawks six points, while McEvoy to Prosise got Seattle into the red zone. Seattle is still very much a defense-first football team for head coach Pete Carroll. However, Bevell is being successful this year as a creative play caller. Seattle looks to be a serious Super Bowl LI contender.
