A look back at the week that was in WWE with in-depth breakdowns of Elimination Chamber, Monday Night RAW, SmackDown Live, 205 Live and NXT.

It was another huge week in WWE with title changes and betrayals and everything in-between so let’s just get go ahead and kick things off with a quick summary of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

There’s no getting around the fact that this was an extremely average pay-per-view. The opening match between Becky Lynch and Mickie James wasn’t bad but the three matches that followed just didn’t cut it on Sunday night. The 2-on-1 handicap match with Dolph Ziggler taking on Apollo Crews and Kalisto did nothing for any one of those guys, the Tag Team Turmoil Match for the tag titles was decent at best and the Natalya vs. Nikki Bella match just didn’t make any sense.

It seemed as if things were going to continue to go downhill in the early minutes of the Luke Harper vs. Randy Orton match but luckily things picked up and they ended up putting on a phenomenal match. Harper is going to be a great singles star very soon if he’s booked correctly, and 15 years in, Orton is as good as he ever was and knows how to tell a story in that ring.

The Naomi vs. Alexa Bliss match was the best of the three women’s matches on the card, and I really enjoyed watching Naomi get her moment. She’s been a little inconsistent over the years but she was really on top of her game on Sunday, and watching her get emotional in the ring following her victory was just another one of those great moments in wrestling.

The Elimination Chamber match itself was one of the best we’ve seen in a long time. Sure, the structure looked a little different and the steel outside of the ring was gone, but the six guys involved put on one hell of a match and told a lot of great stories in the process. Ambrose and Corbin got the ball rolling on their program, The Miz played the heel role to perfection in the short time he was in there, Cena and AJ are just absolute money together and Bray Wyatt looked great and FINALLY won the big one to claim his first WWE Championship. Let’s move on to the weekly shows.
