Stephen Curry nutmegged Nikola Vucevic for the dunk, but also ’cause he’s really mean.

Why you gotta do him like that, Stephen Curry? What did Nikola Vucevic ever do to you that you felt the need to nutmeg him in such an absurd manner?

All Vucevic is trying to do is play good enough defense so someone will trade for him and save him from the Magic. That’s all he wants. Is it because Orlando hurt your ankle earlier in the game and you wanted revenge? Is that it? Well Mr. Curry, that seems like an unnecessary response.

This is just nasty. Curry dribbles up to the 3-point line and the mere threat of him shooting has Vucevic completely abandon the rim roller to prevent a shot. Without anywhere to go, Curry made the decision to throw it right through Vucevic’s legs.

It was the logical decision, because it led to a wide open dunk for Zaza Pachulia, but it was also the mean decision.

Stephen Curry, interestingly enough, is having yet another slow game. He only has nine points at halftime, but even if his jumpshot isn’t lethal he can still dish the ball with the best of him. The Magic are awful and sometimes they’re an easy team to bounce back on.

Klay Thompson has bounce back on the way to 27 first half points, but Curry so far hasn’t. Maybe he’s just taking it easy when dunks like this are wide open for the taking. He obviously doesn’t need to do much out there right now. He can get his jumpshot back in the second half. It’s unlikely Orlando will stop him from doing so.

Poor Vucevic. He’s really gotten better on defense this year, but this hurts. Getting nutmugged is actually really common now, but when it happens it’s just so demoralizing. Well, so is being on the Magic, so maybe he’s just numb to it at this point.
