There’s nothing better than cryptic tweets from athletes and media members. Late night on Thursday, Marshawn Lynch and others may have slyly been hinting at his return.

The Marshawn Lynch-Raiders saga has been garnering a lot of the NFL headlines for weeks now. It started out from his anticipated return to Oakland. Then, he needed approval from Seattle to play elsewhere and reportedly received it.

Next, the Raiders had to get him in their building and meet with him. On Thursday morning, Ian Rapaport of NFL Network reported that Lynch can be traded to Oakland, if the contract negotiations work out.

As of Thursday night, it looks like Lynch might be returning to the NFL after all. He tweeted out this cryptic message that sent fans into a frenzy. Most assumed that it had to do with his reinstatement to the NFL.

Not long after, Raiders backup running back Jalen Richard tweeted out a picture of him and Lynch with a message.

Oh wait, the late night speculation isn’t complete yet. ESPN’s Matt Hasselbeck (and former Seahawks QB) had this message for Marshawn Lynch. Did he just break some news, perhaps!?

It seems as if Hasselbeck’s replying back to Lynch’s original tweet, but maybe he knows more than the standard Twitter reader like me?

Nonetheless, it looks like Lynch might actually be making his return to the NFL. He reportedly applied for reinstatement and that might have been accepted tonight. Regardless, this will be an interesting storyline to follow for the next couple days.
