The New York Jets went 5-11 last season and finished in last place in the AFC East. They have a schedule that sets them up with a chance to improve in 2017.

New York made some roster changes to try to shake things for up their 2017 season. Luckily along with some roster changes on the roster comes a last place schedule. It means games against the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, and San Diego Chargers.

Here is the official week-by-week schedule:

Week 1: at Buffalo
Week 2: at Oakland
Week 3: vs. Miami
Week 4: vs. Jacksonville
Week 5: at Cleveland
Week 6: vs. New England
Week 7: at Miami
Week 8: vs. Atlanta
Week 9: vs. Buffalo (TNF)
Week 10: at Tampa Bay
Week 11: BYE
Week 12: vs. Carolina
Week 13: vs. Kansas City
Week 14: at Denver
Week 15: at New Orleans
Week 16: vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Week 17: at New England

The biggest change that the Jets made was at the quarterback position. While it is not a major change, the difference in name from Ryan Fitzpatrick to Josh McCown is a name difference. At the end of the day, the Jets will mainly be hoping that they can get McCown to turn the ball over less, which is a possible outcome.

On top of that, they moved on from some bigger names veterans such as Darrelle Revis, Nick Mangold and Brandon Marshall. At wide receiver, the Jets could still be in good shape. They have Eric Decker coming back from injury.

On top of that they have depth in Robby Anderson, Charone Peake, Devin Smith, Quincy Enunwa and Jalin Marshall as potential starters next season. At cornerback, the Jets added Morris Claiborne on a one-year deal. They will hope the younger version with a different quarterback can show a sign of life with a potentially easier schedule.
