After first-round playoff exit in six games, here are the top five areas the Milwaukee Bucks need to address this offseason.

After a 22-30 record at the close business on Feb. 10, the Milwaukee Bucks turned it up a notch, went 20-10 over their final 30 games and ended up as the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference. A 14-point Game 1 win over the Toronto Raptors showed the young Bucks belonged, and Milwaukee held a 2-1 series lead before fading.

The Bucks are a team on the rise, with Giannis Antetokounmpo now a star joined by the emergence of Malcolm Brogdon and Thon Maker during their rookie seasons this year. Khris Middleton proved to be an x-factor In the team’s run late in the regular season, after returning from an injury, and if Jabari Parker can return well from a second left ACL tear the Bucks will be dangerous again next season.

That said, here are the Bucks’ top five offseason needs as they look to take the next step on the playoff ladder.

5. Backcourt depth

Yes, backcourt depth is a vague concept, but the Bucks need some. No offense to Tony Snell, who contributed admirably, but the fact he started 80 regular season games and averaged the fourth-most minutes per game on the team (29.2) is a red flag.

Rashad Vaughn has been an enormous disappointment. A significant financial investment in point guard Mathew Dellavadova makes it certain he plays a fair amount, but an upgrade behind Brogdon should be on the radar.
