We’re not gonna waste your time

Recently I saw a title on another fantasy website (yes, even us experts read other “so called experts”) it read: “Trumbo, not Pujols Angels MVP so far ”.  Did that need to be said?!

It reminded me of another article from that same person (he is not the reason I was at this particular site, I assure you).

The article, “Top 5 rookies” and the author listed (in reverse order) Yu Darvish, Will Middlebrooks, Matt Moore, Mike Trout and Bryce Harper.

He noted that they are all doing well, meeting and some exceeding expectations and went on to talk about their long term value.  Nothing groundbreaking here, and borderline insulting if you “Ask Nash” (catch what I did there?)

The reality is that if you have been playing fantasy baseball all season odds are you know that those five rookies have fared well, very well at times!

Also you probably can look at the numbers and see that Mark Trumbo has been raking and Albert Pujols has not.

AB     R     HR     RBI     SB     AVG.
Mark Trumbo     1752512314.337
Albert Pujols220258313.241

It’s pretty easy to see that in fewer at bats Trumbo has matched or beaten Pujols’ counting stats and blows away his average.

So why would someone write about these topics and waste your time?!

Well we vow to NEVER do that!

You already know that Josh Hamilton is uber talented and that his big IF is his health.  Should I write an article about how his torrid start is the making of an MVP year, unless he gets hurt?!  Heck no! If you’re smart enough to visit this site, you’re smart enough to look at his numbers, watch the Rangers’ games or highlights, and see what he’s done. Also, Hamilton won the MVP two years ago, so he’s not exactly an out of nowhere candidate.

How about I write an article about IF Hamilton were to get hurt the guy you need to jump on is David Murphy? Take a look at his numbers.

With the extra ABs that would come if Hamilton were to be out, Murphy would make a nice replacement.  Of course Murphy is no Hamilton, and won’t be a perfect replacement, but a nice plan B none the less.

Like I said above, someone was paid to write an article telling you all about the top 5 rookies so far. Well, we have Clave working over time to tell you about potential call ups every week.  Guys like Jacob Turner, Nolan Arenado, Anthony Rizzo, Brett Jackson and Trevor Bauer.

We want to give our readers a leg up on their league mates not just throw out day old info for the guys who are in deadbeat owner leagues.

If you can be on top of these guys, make some room on your bench and stash them away before their June call up, you will be ahead of the game on this season’s next Trout, Harper or Middlebrooks.

Lastly, another guy from this very site wrote a verbose article on how to select pitchers to stream in. That is great if it isn’t a month into the season. You are probably already a little further behind than you’d like and who really has the time to do an hour or more extra research a week, besides us. Dixon will help you out by giving you 2 or 3 guys that are perfect to stream in for the week!

We don’t want to waste your time in season by giving you off-season advice.  We want to help you here and now!

We will gladly let you in on all of our strategy secrets in the off season!

During the season, let us ease your burden!
