Tim Tebow is one of the most explosive, hard working players in the NFL today. Nearly no one ever says good things about him and his future but I tend to defend him every year he’s been apart of the NFL .
2010 NFL draft day Tebow was a very talked about player not for his skill but for what team would take the risk of taking a quarterback with not a very good arm but a lot of heart and hustle.People were saying he would go 2-3 round and some people had him going in late 1st. The people that thought he was worth the 25th pick overall was the Denver Broncos. It was a risk that in the future would pay off and leave an mark in football forever.
In his first year of a member of the Broncos Tebows stats were minimized by his lack of playing time. With only 9 games played 82 throwing attempts (50.0% CMP) and 5 touchdowns. However, in the following year as the team fell to 1-4 behind Kyle Orton, Tim Tebow needed to step in. He rushed for 660 yards threw for 1,729 and scored a total of 18 touchdowns.

Tebow became a known for his 4th quarter comebacks. He’d always be having a tough game quarters 1,2 and 3 but in the 4th magic would happen. The Broncos defense would suddenly be lights out, and RB and WR would be on there top of there game. This phenomenon was called TebowMania. TebowMania made it into the playoffs but ended two weeks later as the Broncos fell to the New England Patriots. One of the most memorable moments from the NFL last year was when Tebow threw a TD on the first play of OT in the first playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Over the offseason, the Broncos got Peyton Manning then the following week traded Tim Tebow to the New York Jets. Everyone questioned this move, but I for one loved it. Mike Tannenbaum knew that if there was one player to bring in fans’ attention, it’s Tebow, but that’s not it. He is also one of the hardest working athlete in the NFL and has some talent too. If Rex and Mike T really want him to he could become the face of this organization they should teach him how to get there. He should be the backup for a couple of weeks until Rex and Mike T feel he is capable to take the team to the next level being the starter.
I think that the whole Tebowmania thing will not be as big as last year but he will help the New York Jets big time. He will get most of his snaps in the red zone and I believe that he will be starting by week 9. He will become a better thrower, runner and all around better player through the course of this year. If my idea of him becomjng a great starter during this particular season doesn’t happen, it will come in the following season when Tebow starts the year with the job. There is no reason to hate on Tim Tebow. He is fun to watch, a good role model, and a explosive player.
I believe that if the Jets are to make the playoffs this coming season it will be because of four MAIN people 1. Shonn Greene: if Greene can be explosive out of the back field the jets ground and pound will work phenomenal with Tebow now on the squad 2. LaRon Landry: If he could stay healthy I believe that the jets will have the #1 defensive in the league and finally the man of this entire article Tebow/Sanchez: if they got comfortable with what there doing with the double QB it could be a complete success or a complete fail
I’m Matt Wiener… Lets Go Jets !
