With week five already underway after the Rams knocked off the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football, it’s time to finalize your starters or at least figure out your plan to win your week 5 matchup. Here’s the latest on players who would normally be starters in fantasy football.
Hakeem Nicks-New York Giants-WR: Nicks has been ruled out for this week. Proceed with whatever backup plan you have in place. He should return next week, but his continued struggles are concerning. Hold and hope he’s good for week 6. He did participate in the jog-thru Friday so there is some hope for week 6’s rematch of the NFC Championship game with San Francisco.
Julio Jones-Atlanta Falcons-WR-Jones turned in full practices this week and is a great option against Washington this week.
Reggie Bush-Miami Dolphins-RB: Bush practiced in full and is all set for Sunday.

Matt Forte-Chicago Bears-RB: Forte is listed as probable and after a full Friday practice should be ready to take the full load on Sunday against the Jags.
Pierre Garcon-Washington Redskins: Garcon has had a week of full practices and should be ready for Sunday’s matchup with Atlanta.
Kenny Britt-Tennessee Titans-WR: Britt is questionable but probably will not play after aggravating his injury this week in practice. The Titans have a quick turnaround with Pittsburgh next Thursday and owners shouldn’t count on him before that.
Lance Moore-New Orleans Saints-WR: Moore is out for this week’s game with a hamstring injury.
Aaron Hernandez-New England Patriots-TE: Hernandez is back at practice and officially questionable for this week’s game against Denver. The Pats keep information so limited it’s impossible to really know his status. Plan for him not to play, but if he does he’ll make his usual solid starting option.
Christian Ponder-Minnesota Vikings-RB: Ponder is a solid QB2 option against Tennessee and is listed as probable despite a minor knee injury.
Ben Tate-Houston Texans-RB: Tate missed practice Friday but should be ok by Monday according to Coach Gary Kubiak. The Texans don’t play until Monday Night Football, so he’s too high-risk unless you’ve got no other option.
Julian Edelman-New England Patriots-WR: Edelman has been ruled out for week 5. Wes Welker owners need not fear losing playing time for this week.
Mohamed Massaquoi-Cleveland Browns-WR: Massaquoi and Travis Benjamin are both listed as doubtful leaving Greg Little and Josh Gordon as the Browns starting receivers against the Giants.

Laurent Robinson-Jacksonville Jaguars-WR: Robinson has been ruled out with a concussion for this week’s game as expected.
Coby Fleener-Indianapolis Colts-TE: Fleener practiced in full for the second day this week and should be ready for Green Bay even though he’s still listed as questionable.
Stephen Hill-New York Jets-WR: Hill didn’t participate in practice Friday and is to high-risk to start on Monday against Houston.
Nate Kaeding-San Diego Chargers-K: Kaeding is out for Sunday and can be dropped in all formats going forward.
