Week 11 in the NFL contains the last round of byes so its the last time you should have to dig so deep into your bench. It’s also the first week following an outbreak of quarterback concussions leaving many NFL and fantasy teams wondering who will be under center on Sunday. Here’s the latest on who you can count on, count out, and check on before kickoff for this coming week.
Count out…
Darren McFadden-Oakland Raiders-RB: McFadden is out as the Raiders host the Saints. Mike Goodson will again join him on the sideline, and Marcel Reece will get the bulk of the work in his absence.
DeMarco Murray-Dallas Cowboys-RB: Murray is doubtful and continues to nurse a foot injury. He’s hoping for a Thanksgiving return as Dallas hosts Washington.

Michael Vick-Philadelphia Eagles-QB: Nick Foles gets his shot as Vick recovers from a severe concussion suffered last week.
Ben Roethlisberger-Pittsburgh Steelers-QB: Roethlisberger could be out up to six weeks as he waits for his dislocated rib to totally heal. It’s a big blow to the Steelers and his fantasy owners who could lose him for the rest of the season.
Jay Cutler-Chicago Bears-QB: Cutler has been ruled out meaning Jason Campbell gets the start for the Bears in San Francisco on Monday Night.
Antonio Brown-Pittsburgh Steelers-WR: Brown is still struggling with his high ankle sprain and won’t be there Sunday for Byron Leftwich as he plays for Big Ben.
Aaron Hernandez-New England Patriots-TE: Hernandez is expected to miss his fourth game in a row Sunday as the Pats face Indianapolis. He’s still too good to drop, but owners have to be disappointed with his continued absence.
Jon Baldwin-Kansas City Chiefs-WR: I still think Baldwin will be fantasy football relevant in the right offensive situation but the Chiefs aren’t a good situation and he’ll miss this week with a concussion so feel free to move on if you need to for redraft leagues as this is looking like a lost season for the first-rounder from the 2011 draft.
Check on…
Julio Jones-Atlanta Falcons-WR: Jones didn’t practice all week and is a gametime decision with an ankle injury. His status depends on his pre-game workout so check the inactives on Sunday before you make your final call.
Darren Sproles-New Orleans Saints-RB: Sproles is still waiting on the Doc’s decision but it looks like he’ll be a go for Sunday. He’s a game-time decision at this point but tentatively plan on him playing

Ryan Mathews-San Diego Chargers-RB: Mathews was able to practice yesterday but is a gametime decision in the Chargers 4:25 start. Grabbing Jackie Battle as a handcuff is a must for Mathews owners unless you have an option in the Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football game.
Owen Daniels-Houston Texans-TE: While a gametime decision, it looks like Daniels has a good chance of playing Sunday.
Darrius Heyward-Bey-Oakland Raiders-WR: DHB is a gametime decision after tweaking his hamstring in Wednesday’s practice. Go a different way if possible for this week.
Count on…
Calvin Johnson-Detroit Lions-WR: Johnson is questionable but is coming off his best game of the season and should be ready to roll against the Packers.
Rob Gronkowski-New England Patriots-TE: Gronk has been questionable all season it seems and this week is no exception as he heads into Sunday’s game against the Colts. Play him as you normally would since this is just SOP for the Pats.
Trent Richardson-Cleveland Browns-RB: Richardson is less than 100% but will play against the Cowboys on Sunday.
Wes Welker-New England Patriots-WR: Welker is questionable with the rest of the Patriots but is expected to play.

Jordy Nelson-Green Bay Packers-WR: Nelson is probably and should be ready for a big game as the Packers and Lions meet in Detroit.
Jeremy Maclin-Philadelphia Eagles-WR: Maclin is probable and will play but his production will depend largely on how well rookie QB Nick Foles plays in his first NFL start.
Brandon Lloyd-New England Patriots-WR: Lloyd is listed as questionable but is expected to play like he did last week despite his questionable tag.
Alex Smith-San Francisco 49ers-QB: Smith should be sufficiently recovered from his concussion to play on Monday Night.
Rashard Mendenhall-Pittsburgh Steelers-RB: Mendenhall will start for the STeelers but he’ll share the backfield responsibilities. If you can afford to wait and see how he looks after his extended layoff, go with another option but he does have a nice matchup against Baltimore if you need to play him.
Bradon Myers- Oakland Raiders-TE: Myers had a concussion last week but practiced fully Friday and is probable for the Raiders game against New Orleans.
Pierre Garcon-Washington Redskins-WR: Garcon is listed as questionable but promised to be ready to go. It would be hard to start him this week, but see how he does to rank him the rest of the season.
Alshon Jeffery-Chicago Bears-WR: Jeffery looks likely to return on Monday Night after missing time with a broken hand. Take note of his role on the Bears to see what his value might be for the rest of the season.
