Report: Kansas City Chiefs Player Commits Suicide At Team Facility
By Josh Sanchez
UPDATE: It is being reported that the player involved was Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, per Jason La Canfora. Belcher was confronted by Chiefs coaches in the parking lot before putting the gun to his head and taking his own life.
Thoughts go out to all that have been affected by the tragedy, especially the couples three month old child.
The Chiefs organization has released a statement on the situation that reads, “We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning. We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation.”
Kansas City will still host the Carolina Panthers tomorrow at Arrowhead Stadium. The league has advised the Panthers to travel as planned.

There is some unfortunate news to pass along this morning as Jay Glazer of FOX Sports is reporting that a member of the Kansas City Chiefs and another player have been shot at the team facility.
"Scary situation in KC right now as a player and another person have been shot at the Chiefs facility. Don’t want to reveal player until his family knows."
KCTV5 News had some additional details:
"The first shooting was reported about 8 a.m. at a home near 54th Street and Chrysler Avenue. The second shooting was reported a short time later at a Chiefs practice facility located on the Arrowhead facility.Officials said the Chiefs player shot and killed his girlfriend and then drove to the practice facility where he shot and killed himself."
It is a very sad situation in Kansas City and we will be sure to pass along the latest information as it becomes available.
