Georgia Bulldogs Announce 2013 Football Recruiting Class

The Georgia Bulldogs signed a total of 32 high school recruits to their 2013 class on National Signing Day and head coach Mark Richt is thrilled with his incoming freshman. Despite losing a number of the state’s top recruits to teams around the SEC, Georgia was able to lock up a number of solid recruits.

“We got the No. 1 class in America as far as I’m concerned. We took care of business in the areas that we needed,” said Richt. “We got the guys that are very, very talented and are excited about being here, and we’re going to develop these guys into a great football team. That’s what really matters the most.”

Many believe that Richt should have been disappointed for his failure to land the top recruits in Georgia, but he does not believe there is any reason for concern.

“I really don’t have any disappointments right now,” Richt said. “I’ve said this for years: Once signing day hits, we’re going to be excited about everybody that we sign, which I am, which I know our staff is, and that’s all we’re really going to focus and concentrate on. It’s our jobs now for everybody to get to work. We’re very thrilled about all these guys here and everybody that’s coming in and how we know they’re going to contribute to our football team.”

One of the most intriguing recruits that Georgia was able to land was offensive tackle DeVondre Symour, the son of former NFL star Richard Seymour.
