Reports are indicating that the Minnesota Vikings and head coach Leslie Frazier have agreed to a multi-year extension that will keep him in charge of the team for the next few years. The Associated Press was first to break the news:

Frazier is coming off of a season where running back Adrian Peterson nearly made his way to the NFL record books, quarterback Christian Ponder showed some improvement and the team clinched a spot in the NFL Playoffs as a wildcard team.

The team is certainly improving and it is only fair to give Frazier a chance to finish what he started with this team.

With Frazier being locked up for the next few seasons, it now seems all but certain that wide receiver Percy Harvin, who has ruffled Frazier’s feathers on more than one occasion, will be shown the door during the offseason.
