The NFL Free Agency period is set to begin on March 12 and a number of NFL teams are analyzing the available free agents to see who their roster could best benefit from by adding.

Not only are the NFL teams looking at the upcoming free agent class, but players are searching to see which players they would like to bring to their team to help reach the ultimate goal. That is exactly what is going on in Detroit, where Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson is doing his best to recruit running back Reggie Bush.

“I know it’s not as sunny, and it might not be the same type of glitz and glamor, but you can do wonders for us,” Burleson said, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “He came from USC, and everybody knows he can go out there and shake a little bit, wiggle a little bit and break that big run. And for him to put up two 1,000-yard seasons the last couple years proves that he’s still an elite running back. And if I can get Reggie Bush in a Detroit Lions uniform, ooh-wee, watch out.”

The addition of Bush in Detroit would be an interesting one.

If Bush were to join the Lions, he would give them a dynamic threat in the backfield to compliment All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson on the outside. A Bush – Johnson team could create matchup nightmares for team and take the Lions offense to another level. Would you like to see Bush in Detroit?
