The Tennessee Titans have already been linked to the Bennett Brothers, but the New York Giants are making re-signing the elder Bennet their “top priority” this offseason. The clock is ticking, and Bennett is hearing offers from other teams, but the Giants are holding out hope that they can get an offer to Bennett that will keep him in New York.

Bennett’s agent, Kennard McGuire, says that he’s remaining in contact with the Giants and is listening to any and all offers he receives.

“I am and will continue communicating with the Giants,” Bennett’s agent, Kennard McGuire, wrote in an email to the New York Daily News. “Martellus is still in New York, and we are taking it one day at a time.”

Bennett had a breakout season with the Giants last season after spending a so-so career with the Dallas Cowboys. Bennett was expected to generate interest in free agency and so far that’s held up as the truth. But while he’s generating interest from teams other than the Giants, that team is the Tennessee Titans, who have two tight end options already in Taylor Thompson and free agent Jared Cook.

Other teams will throw their hat into the race, but right now it appears as though a return to the Giants is a very real possibility for Martellus Bennett.
