As we are closing in on the end of day two of free agency, the Arizona Cardinals are making another quality signing. The team, who was loading up on offensive talent Wednesday, decided to add former Cleveland Browns wide receiver/Flash package quarterback/return specialist Josh Cribbs.

The news was first reported by Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, though some sources are saying a deal is not complete but very likely.

Cribbs’ impact will likely be felt the most in special teams where he is a dynamic return man. On offense, Cribbs has never been able to find a role. He is an inconstant wide receiver and leaves a lot to be desired with his route running ability and hands.

Of course, if he gets some action in the slot with Larry Fitzgerald on the outside, he won’t have much attention directed his way.

There is always potential for a player to blossom in a new setting, but I wouldn’t expect Cribbs to be much of a difference maker in Arizona.
