Detroit Lions Sign Jason Jones
By Josh Sanchez
Early this morning, it was reported that the Detroit Lions would be hosting a trio of free agents — running back Reggie Bush, defensive back Glover Quin and defensive lineman Jason Jones — and the belief was that the team would work hard to lock them up before they ended their visits and left town.
In just a matter of hours, Jones’ agent announced that he has signed with the Lions.
Jones is a very capable and versatile defensive lineman that will be able to play either defensive end or defensive tackle in the 4-3 defense. The 26-year-old previously played under Lions head coach Jim Schwartz during his time with the Tennessee Titans.
Detroit needed to add a defensive lineman to the mix and they have landed a good one.
