The Dallas Cowboys have been quiet in the free agent market because of their tight salary cap situation, but it looks like they will finally be getting into the mix. According to the Cowboys official website, the team will be bringing in free agent linebacker Justin Durant and free agent safety Will Allen for visits.

DallasCowboys.com’s Bryan Broaddus was the one to pass along the news.

There is no doubt that the Cowboys need help at both positions. Safety has always been a need and it is even more immediate of a concern with the release of Gerald Sensabaugh, while the team is looking to bring in linebackers best suited for the new 4-3 defense that is being installed by defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin.

You can be sure that this is just the beginning of the Cowboys reaching in to the free agent pool now that players are available for an incredibly discounted price.
