The Dallas Cowboys are about to get busy adding talent to their roster in serious positions of need. It was reported yesterday that the Cowboys had an agreement in principle with free agent linebacker Justin Durant and now there is another free agent set to join Big D.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys are set to sign safety Will Allen, who played with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season:

In order to sign both Allen and Durant, the Cowboys need to free up some room under the salary cap.

The belief is that Dallas is set to restructure a veteran’s contract and release another seasoned vet in hopes of finalizing deals with the two free agents today. The name that continues to surface as a candidate for release is fullback Lawrence Vickers.

If the Cowboys can secure the signings of Allen and Durant, they will have finally addressed to major areas of concern.
