A leotard collection? Great for the young lady, but that’s not something I will be looking into purchasing anytime soon.

As for her star power and what she brings to the adidas team, the possibilities are limitless. Maroney instantly became an Internet sensation as her “not impressed” meme was the most popular of the summer after her performance in the London Olympics. Since then, she has used her charisma and engaging personality to create a brand for herself and become the most marketable of the Fab Five.

Maroney is currently training and working to defend her title as reigning World Champion in the vault later this year at the World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium. Adidas will be right there by her side.

“McKayla Maroney is an energetic force in gymnastics whose determination will only drive her to greater success.” said Alice Chao, CEO of Elegant Sports, global licensee of adidas Gymnastics. “We are excited to work with McKayla in creating products that will help gymnasts exceed to the next level.”

The Team adidas roster now includes Maroney and fellow gymnasts Jordyn Wieber, Jake Dalton and Danell Leyva, along with NBA stars Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard and FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona. It’s quite the impressive roster for adidas and their brand.
