Boston Marathon Explosion: NBA cancels Celtics, Pacers game in wake of tragedy
The NBA has decided to cancel the Indiana Pacers game against the Boston Celtics tomorrow in wake of the recent Boston Marathon tragedy. The game, scheduled for Tuesday night at the TD Garden, was also supposed nationally televised on TNT as part of an NBA double-header. The game will not be rescheduled. The other double-header game of the Portland Trailblazers against the Los Angeles Clippers will go on as scheduled.
This game will not affected the eastern conference standings as the Celtics are a lock at the seventh seed. The Celtics will play against the New York Knicks in the first round of the playoffs. As for the Pacers, they are locked in the third seed and will play against either the Atlanta Hawks or Chicago Bulls.
