Pass rushers are dropping like flies in mock drafts leading up to the 2013 NFL Draft this Thursday, but that’s not stopping some teams from dragging late first-round names up their boards. According to CBS Sports Jason LaCanfora, the New Orleans Saints are “quite intrigued” by Florida State defensive end Tank Carradine and could end up selecting him 15th overall in the draft.

The Saints have been looking at pass rushers all offseason long, and it’s looking like that’s what they’ll end up drafting when they go on the clock this Thursday. Jarvis Jones, Barkevious Mingo and others remain options for the Saints, as they have the ability to not only play defensive end but slide over to outside linebacker in Rob Ryan’s 3-4 scheme.

Carradine is a great story to follow, as an ACL tear at the end of the Seminoles season put his NFL future into doubt. But after an offseason of rehab, Carradine appears to be a first-round pick once again, which is nothing short of spectacular.

Now that his status as a top pick has been restored, the question is where he will fall and his outstanding workout recently only helps his chances of being a real possibility for the Saints at 15th overall.
