The New York Jets picked up an extra first-round pick over the weekend, when they sent star cornerback Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Bucaneers. While the Jets are sitting comfortable with the No. 9 and No. 13 picks in the 2013 NFL Draft, they may still be looking to add more.

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York reports that the Jets have informed teams around the league that they are looking to traded down.

He writes:

The Jets are in full-blown rebuild mode, so the move makes perfect sense.

What the Jets really need are playmakers on both sides of the ball, so the more picks they can accumulate, the better. You don’t rebuild your roster without a number of draft selections, so it is nice to see the Jets front office finally approaching things with a sensible approach.

Two teams to watch as potential trade partners are the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers. Both teams are looking to trade in to the top 15 and the Jets No. 13 pick could become mighty attractive.
